We went to Tatu restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had a pleasant experience at this amazing restaurant. Amazing service and a truly fine dinning experience. The waiter “Tevin” gave us great food recommendations, and had an amazing birthday surprise party for my husband..we will definitely repeat this experience again.
Food is good but a bit too overpriced. I expected to be blown away by the food for that price but it was just decent.
Oysters were a let down, could only taste the batter. Had the ribeye with a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus. Ribeye good, mashed potatoes were flat, needed to be more creamy with a dash of salt and pepper.
Most likely won’t be back because there are many places with better value for money but it was good to experience.
My husband and I had dinner at Tatu during an evening stay at the Norfolk Fairmont hotel. The food was great and service was good. The cheese bread before the meal was warm with 2 butter options. Goat cheese app was good. My tenderloin was cooked perfectly at medium rare. We had fries to share as a side. Enjoyed the chocolate cake dessert. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice evening while in Nairobi.
Very classy, elegant restaurant with the best service I've experienced in Nairobi. The waiters know the menu and are really helpful.
Great food that is also well-presented. The portions are possibly too big (if that's a problem?).
Ambience is good, too. Tables are spaced out well and the restaurant has a very calm, peaceful feel... which is a welcome change from the numerous noisy restaurants.
Best fine dining experience in Kenya. Fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation with a great service in a warm ambiance. A special mention to the chef Anne Rose and our waiter Kennedy.
