We went there to see the Nairobi Jazz Orchestra upstairs - amazing band, btw! Lots of space on level 1, good for the big crowd that turned up. Seating was comfortable. The food outlets are downstairs - all looks fab - we had chicken and beef lasagnas, both which were very tasty and in good portions. All food stalls accepted tap pay and mpesa. Back upstairs, the drink service was efficient. Red wine by the glass was better than average. We ran a tab that we cleared at the end with tap pay. Simple. Interesting artwork in various spots. Tip: take a jacket and/ or marvin during July - that upstairs soace is open at the sides, so can cold. Overall: Recommended
Everything was VERY GOOD EXCEPT BIRD EXCHANGE. Deep frozen tenders. Taste like supermarket kids chicken. Si Senor (mexican), desi loco (Indian) were very good. Outdoor bar is nice too for a drink. AVOID BAR EXCHANGE.
The vibe and atmosphere was absolutely unforgettable. We went on a Thursday evening when it was Salsa/Bachatta night and the place was alive and electric.
To sum it up in a few words, it's a dance hall surround by multiple food vendors (almost food trucks style).
Honestly, this place made me fall in love with Nairobi.
There are plenty of food options from Italian, pizzas, burgers and Indian food to choose from. There are few bars as well.
Just a note, when it's busy it is very loud and service might be slow. But truthfully, you don't come here looking for a quiet dining experience. You come here to dance and sing!
It was an experience like no other I've had in Kenya and I'll definitely be back here on my travels.
A compound for cafés and restaurants which is popular style places in Nairobi. Good burger restaurant inside. Different type of sitting indoor and outdoor. It's mostly for drinks, music and dancing like a night club.
Nairobi Street Kitchen is a vibe. The food is great but the artwork is what gets you bold, vibrant murals that make you feel the soul of this city. Highly recommend. Will be back! 🔥🎨
