How unique is this park from other ones?
- Chimpanzees sanctuary - Equator marker inside the park (no need to deal with locals outside as its free here) - last 2 remaining Northern white Rhinos - can spot the rare reticulated Giraffe here
The landscape is perfect like a golf lawn kind of terrain so you can easily spot animals
Since its away from the regular Naivasha-Nakuru-Masai Mara circuit its very quiet meaning less tourist vehicles so you can watch the animals at peace without the hustle and bustle of 30-40 vehicles around a animal
For those who love nature, and animals, this is a good place to explore the wild. Got to see Elephants, Zebras, Chimpanzees and many other animals. Ensure you go early to catch the Lions.
Great park in Laikipia. Never seen so many white (and a few black) rhinos in my life. Plus a lot of other animals, often in large numbers. Also opportunity to watch chimpanzees who are kept in a large enclosed space. The park is very well maintained and animals are closely monitored. We found 70 usd per person to watch the last two remaining white northern rhinos on the high side. Otherwise only positive comments!
Awesome place for a game drive. Pros- lots of different animals to see. Cons- you need time, it's a huge area to cover. Early entry will be an advantage
A very meaningful visit. The staff were friendly and informative. Ol Pejeta takes excellent care of rescued chimpanzees that suffered abuse, even though they are not native to Kenya. They also do important work protecting endangered rhinos. A special place for wildlife conservation.
