The cost is approximately 5,000 Kenyan Shillings per person, excluding drinks and some side orders.
The service was excellent, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxing. A great place to experience quality grilled meats and something a little different while in Nairobi.

I stopped in for lunch and was surprised by how relaxed and uncrowded it was. I didn’t need a reservation, and from the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and did a fantastic job explaining the different meats as they came around.
The selection is what makes Carnivore memorable. There was an incredible variety of meats, including crocodile and other unusual options that I certainly don’t encounter on a typical restaurant menu back home in the United States. It’s a fun opportunity to be adventurous and try a little bit of everything.
I’ll admit that some of the flavors weren’t necessarily to my American palate, but that’s part of traveling. I don’t go halfway around the world expecting everything to taste like it does at home! The variety, presentation, and overall experience more than made up for it.
The atmosphere is fantastic and unlike any restaurant I’ve visited before. Between the open-fire cooking, the endless procession of meats, and the outstanding service, lunch became an experience rather than simply a meal.
Five stars for the atmosphere, service, selection, and sheer uniqueness of the place. If you’re visiting Nairobi, Carnivore is absolutely worth experiencing at least once—and come hungry!

If you’re visiting Nairobi, this is an absolute must-visit restaurant that deserves every one of its five stars.
Came here as part of a tour package. It’s quite a spectacle especially with the pit where all the meats are cooked. There’s a bit of a slow start and end but the middle moves fast and furious with all types of meats coming your way. The dawa “doctor” makes for a cool drink as well. It can be hard to get the attention of the staff and it’s clearly a touristy spot so come aware.
We Visited Carnivore Nairobi and opted for the à la carte menu instead of the traditional Beast of a Feast. The experience was excellent from start to finish. The food was well prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The portion sizes were generous, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every dish.
The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, and the staff were friendly. Service was prompt without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, and I would gladly return and recommend it to anyone looking for great food and excellent service in Nairobi.
